American Heart Association

The American Heart Association promotes cardiovascular health through research, education, and partnerships. Landmark Learning is an authorized Training Center providing Basic Life Support certification programs to the outdoor industry and the community of Jackson County, NC.

Emergency Cardiovascular Courses (ECC) are taught with AHA materials by authorized AHA instructors in accordance with the AHA’s current ECC Guidelines. All certifications are valid for 2 years.


Heartsaver CPR AED

Adult CPR training for individuals who will be working primarily with people ages 8 (eight) years old and up. "CPR" includes training in Rescue Breathing, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, and relieving Foreign Body Airway Obstructions. AED use is included in this course. Child and Infant training is also available in an additional module.


Heartsaver First Aid

The AHA and Landmark offer more than just CPR. Here’s the next step in managing common illnesses and injuries while waiting for additional help to arrive. This course covers shock, controlling bleeding, managing spinal and athletic injuries, asthma, diabetes, seizures, and environmental emergencies associated with heat and cold, insect and animal bites, and allergies.


BLS for Healthcare Provider

This CPR training is intended for healthcare workers, and for outfitters with professional level CPR permitting or insurance requirements. This course includes Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, along with Bag-Valve-Mask and Two-Person Rescuer Techniques. A skills check is also available for Healthcare professionals renewing their Healthcare Provider certification through the AHA's online refresher training.


BLS Instructor Course

Our Training Center prerequisites for this course include current minimum certification as an EMT-Basic and current certification in Healthcare Provider CPR. A skills test and written examination are given at the beginning of this course to verify eligibility.
