Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B Intensive)

Earn your credentials in three weeks with our intensive.

If you're looking for a rapid, informative and thorough way to complete the 169-hour curriculum the State of North Carolina requires to become an Emergency Medical Technician, try this intensive EMT-Basic course. In three weeks you can learn what you need to take the National Registry exam, as well as, the North Carolina state exam and earn your EMT credentials.

Landmark Learning is the leading private teaching instituation approved by the N.C. Office of Emergency Medical Services to teach the EMT curriculum - and the top provider to offer it in this intensive format.

Our classes meet all day Monday through Friday for three consecutive weeks. During nights and weekends we offer you the opportunity to fulfill the 24 hours of clinical experience the state requires - working with ambulance crews and emergency room personnel who are affiliated with our program.

  • Course Length: 169 hours over 3 weeks
  • Prerequisites: Minimum age 18 years, childhood vaccination and Hep B series, TB test within 6 months of the course start date, high school diploma or GED, no felony convictions and no driving violations.

WMI of NOLS Wilderness Upgrade for Medical Professionals (Additional Course Upgrade)

If you're ready to practice your emergency medical skills in an outdoor setting, Landmark Learning can help you upgrade your basic-level EMT credentials to become a certified Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician (WEMT).

You'll participate in an additional 40 hours of training in a course authorized by the prestigious Wilderness Medicine Institute of the National Outdoor Leadership School. This intense, hands-on curriculum utilizes daily role plays, case studies and practical scenarios. Expect to spend plenty of time applying your knowledge. Landmark is the only place where you can receive WEMT training in this unique format.


Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Refresher Training (EMT-Refresher)

Time to be recertified? Our EMT refresher course makes certain you get the 24-hours of training required by the National Registry. In fact, if you are in the last year of your certification, our Practical Exam at the end of our course will also count for your requirements.

At the end of the course we'll provide an hourly breakdown of the components you've passed so you can submit them to the National Registry for approval.
