What are your favorite outdoor activities?
Hiking, kayaking, swimming, running, yoga, nature photography, etc… Anything that gets me outside and keeps me moving!
Where are your favorite outdoor locations to visit?
While the Southeast and all of the recreational opportunities it has to offer is my first love, I am also very drawn to the desert southwest. I find myself very much at peace when I am hanging out among the cacti and hoo-doos in that area. I also love the Outer Banks of NC, the San Juan Islands in the Pacific Northwest, and the White Mountains in New England.
Any career or personal highlights you’d like to share?
I have been an educator in one form or another for most of my adult life. I love all that I learn from those that I teach. Spending three year on the road with my husband, educating diverse groups of people as we traveled across the lower 48 was an amazing experience that will never be matched. I look forward to many more years of opportunities to educate and be educated.
