Why do you work for Landmark?
Because I love it so, and my co-instructors are like my other family. Couldn't ask for a better team
What are your "special" skills that you contribute to Landmark?
It has been said that my whiteboard drawings rival the works of Leonardo da Vinci.
What other outdoor company(ies) have you worked for?
Wildewater Expeditions, Passages to Adventure, Boy Scouts of America, and Montana Whitewater as a Professional Raft Guide Extraordinaire (PRGE).
What is your actual day/night job?
Working for Landmark Learning and the Wilderness Medicine Institute is more or less my full time job. I fill in the gaps riding on the ambulance saving lives and serving up drinks of the caffeinated persuasion every now and then.
What are your favorite outdoor activities?
I love mountains, and I really love rivers. Whitewater rafting with folks from around the world or whitewater canoeing with close friends both top the list. But, backpacking in exotic places is pretty high up there too. Or maybe even just a few nights out in the Blue Ridge or Great Smoky mountains, waking up early in the morning to watch the sunrise from a rocky overlook whilst sipping hot chocolate and baking blueberry scones on the whisperlite. Doesn't get much finer than that.
Any career or personal highlights you'd like to share?
Once I got 1st place in an animal sound contest at the county fair. I was an elephant. I was six.
