Outdoor Program Graduate Assistant Position

The Outdoor Recreation Graduate Assistant will serve in an administrative role with the Clemson Outdoor Recreation and Education Program. Applicants must have prior experience as a trip leader or guide in an Outdoor Recreation / Experiential Education program. They must also be accepted into Clemson University’s Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management graduate program beginning July or August of the year of employment. This position is 12 months/30 hours per week with a salary of $16,000 renewable on a yearly basis and is dependent on the maintenance of satisfactory academic standing. Hours may include weekday office hours, weeknight hours, and occasional weekend trips. Schedule to be arranged with the Outdoor Recreation Director.

Leave No Trace E-Tour Traveling Team

The Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics is seeking a dedicated, savvy, dynamic team of educators (only teams of two are accepted as applicants) for a full time traveling position from approximately Jan 30th-July 31st, 2012, with the possibility of extending through 2012 (dependent on funding). Leave No Trace, an educational non-profit organization based in Boulder, CO, teaches people how to enjoy the outdoors responsibly. The e-tour team travels throughout the U.S. teaching and promoting minimum impact techniques to kids of all experience levels. The e-tour will reach out to millions of individuals, promoting stewardship of the outdoors and responsible recreation practices.
