COURSE LOGISTICS

Meals:
Group meal plans for this Apopka, FL WFR course will accommodate both omnivore/carnivore (meat eaters) and vegetarian diets.

Cost for all meals covers 3 meals/day, from dinner on the evening of 1/7/20 through breakfast on the morning of 1/17/20. [Not included is the evening meal at the beginning of the day off in the middle of the course, i.e., Sunday night (Jan. 12), but there are several inexpensive restaurants within walking distance of Kelly Park/Camp Joy, where the group will be that day.]

For vegan, gluten free, severe nut allergies, and other dietary restrictions, please plan to bring your own food to prepare.

If you bring your own food to prepare, bring your camp stove, ice chest, pots and pans, utensils, etc.- everything needed for your meal prep (in other words, bring all the equipment to prepare food as if you were car camping). There are also fast food places, supermarkets, and restaurants within 3-6 miles of Wekiwa Srpings State Park to choose from.
Lodging/Camping:
Included in the tuition price, lodging in rustic cabins with heaters and ceiling fans. Cabins are located around a central bath/shower house. We plan to place no more than 4 people per 10 person capacity cabin, so there will be plenty of room, and you can choose your cabin mates if you would like. We will have separate cabins available for those who snore. NOTE: due to a scheduling error by Wekiwa Springs State Park, we will be at nearby Camp Joy for Friday afternoon, Jan 10 to Monday afternoon, Jan. 13. (Sunday from 5 PM, Jan. 12, until 8 AM Tuesday Jan. 14 is your "day off" in the middle of the course). During that 72 hour period, the lodging will be in Camp Joy bunkhouses and (optional) camping if you want to bring your own tent, rather than in the cabins at Wekiwa Springs State Park.
Transportation:
Uber, Lyft, and Orlando public transportation will bring you to Wekiwa Springs State Park, the location of the course. This cost is not covered by course tuition. Be sure to check Orlando area LYNX schedules if coming by public bus. If you drive, parking is free.
Other Pertinent Info:
This 10-day course includes a day off on Day 6. There are evening sessions scheduled for Days 3 and 8, so please plan your schedule and meals accordingly.
