ACA Level 4: Swiftwater Rescue Instructor (2920)

All instructors must be current ACA members at the time of the course. ACA membership fees and SEIC dues are the responsibility of each participant.

Dates: April 12, 6-9PM; April 13-14, 8AM-6PM; AND April 26, 6-9PM; April 27-28, 8AM-6PM. This course runs over 2 full weekends.

Tuition: $660

Meals:

Not included – town is 10 minutes from our base, with ample restaurants and grocery store options.

Available for student use is a standard refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and hot water urn. Most students bring camp stoves to cook within a budget under our outdoor cooking pavilion.

Lodging: $60 camping or bunkhouse total for both weekends.

Camping (bring your own gear) or bunk space (bring your sleeping bag and pillow) is available by reservation for. Camping is on a pad near the parking lot and classroom. The bunkhouses are located a 10-minute walk up the mountain. You may also camp in your vehicle. Any overnight stay grants access to the kitchen amenities and indoor showers. 

Housing assignments and the grounds orientation will be on the desk at the front of the classroom. Please arrive by 7:45AM on the first day of your course. Class begins promptly at 8AM.

Students must be packed and moved out by lunchtime on the last day of the course. 

Shuttle:

Students must provide transportation to and from campus and river sites. Carpooling should be possible with other students in the class.
