The class will be in held in the “Cove” or the “Fellowship Hall” (TBA closer to the course dates) area of the Annapolis EP Church, located at 710 Ridgely Ave, Annapolis MD 21401. The closest entrance is from Ridgely Ave, parking between the playground and the glass entry doors on the west face of the building. Meals: Meals are not provided. There will be an hour off for lunch in the middle of each day; bring plenty of water, snacks, and lunch each day.

Town is 10 minutes from our base, with ample restaurants and grocery store options. Available for student use are two standard refrigerators, two microwaves, coffee pots and hot water urns, as well as three double-burner induction stoves with required magnetic pots/pans. Cups, plates, bowls, and silverware are also available for student use. Students will each have a cubby to use for dry food storage and use the three-sink system for washing/sanitizing at the end of meals.
Lodging: $45 Camping; $75 Bunkhouse
Camping (bring your own gear) or bunk space (bring your sleeping bag and pillow) is available by reservation. These lodging options are located by foot, up the hill behind the Cane Creek Lodge. Campers are invited to use the showers in the Student Lounge area.
Bunkhouses are 4 max to a room, as availability permits. Each room has its own bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. Each pair of rooms shares a common connecting space and covered front porch for downtime and community.
Students may also opt to camp in their vehicles in the parking area. The camping fee applies, and they may use the campers’ showers in the Lodge. No electric or water hookup is available.
You may arrive between 12PM-9PM the day before the course starts. Housing assignments and the grounds orientation will be posted in the classroom lobby. If you cannot arrive by 9PM, you may arrive at 7:45AM on the first day of your course. Class begins promptly at 8AM.

- Online platform opens August 11. Expect to allocate 10-15 hours each week for 3 weeks on the platform.
- Students must complete the online platform prior to arriving for the in-person/onsite portion of the course.
- The onsite portion of the course runs 8AM-6PM, September 1-5, with an evening session on Sept 3.

Camping (bring your own gear) or bunk space (bring your sleeping bag and pillow) is available by reservation for. Camping is on a pad near the parking lot and classroom. The bunkhouses are located a 10-minute walk up the mountain. You may also camp in your vehicle, but there is no hookup or space for RVs. Any overnight stay grants access to the kitchen amenities and indoor showers.
Arrival is from 12PM-5PM the day before the course starts for orientation and health screening. Housing assignments and the grounds orientation will be on the desk at the front of the classroom. Camping (bring your own gear). Camping is on a pad near the parking lot and classroom. You may also camp in your vehicle, but there is no hookup or space for RVs. Any overnight stay grants access to the kitchen amenities and indoor showers.
You may arrive between 12PM-9PM the day before the course starts for self check-in. Housing assignments and the grounds orientation will be on the desk at the front of the classroom. Class begins promptly at 8AM.
Students must be packed and moved out prior to 8AM on the last day of the course.
About This Course:
This course will explore various outdoor spaces each day that are within an hour of where we will basecamp, at the Landmark Learning Downstream Campus. Students may need to provide their own transportation to and from each site.

Cups, plates, bowls, and silverware are also available for student use. Students will each have a cubby to use for dry food storage and use the three-sink system for washing/sanitizing at the end of meals.

Camping (bring your own gear) or bunk space (bring your sleeping bag and pillow) is available by reservation. These lodging options are located by foot, up the hill behind the Cane Creek Lodge. Campers are invited to use the showers in the Student Lounge area.

Town is 10 minutes from our base, with ample restaurants and grocery store options. Available for student use are two standard refrigerators, two microwaves, coffee pots and hot water urns, as well as three double-burner induction stoves with required magnetic pots/pans. Cups, plates, bowls, and silverware are also available for student use. Students will each have a cubby to use for dry food storage and use the three-sink system for washing/sanitizing at the end of meals.
Lodging: $45 Camping; $75 Bunkhouse
Camping (bring your own gear) or bunk space (bring your sleeping bag and pillow) is available by reservation. These lodging options are located by foot, up the hill behind the Cane Creek Lodge. Campers are invited to use the showers in the Student Lounge area.
Bunkhouses are 4 max to a room, as availability permits. Each room has its own bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. Each pair of rooms shares a common connecting space and covered front porch for downtime and community.

The University Recreation Center (UREC) is located directly in the center of the city of Harrisonburg with ample restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Students should plan to pack a lunch for themselves. No microwaves, stove or fridge available.

The University has an on-campus hotel called “Hotel Madison” that is within walking distance of the University Recreation Center. There are also additional hotel facilities just off-campus with competitive pricing.
Additional Details: Parking on Campus requires a parking permit and is included in the cost of the course. During registration you will be asked to provide, the year, make, model and license plate of your vehicle. Please make sure that the car whose details you share with us at registration is the same car you drive down for the course. Students may also opt to camp in their vehicles in the parking area. The camping fee applies, and they may use the campers’ showers in the Lodge. No electric or water hookup is available.
You may arrive between 12PM-9PM the day before the course starts. Housing assignments and the grounds orientation will be posted in the classroom lobby. If you cannot arrive by 9PM, you may arrive at 7:45AM on the first day of your course. Class begins promptly at 8AM.
Students must be packed and moved out prior to 8AM on the last day of the course.
